Possible treatments
Urethral cancer becomes more advanced when it spreads into deeper tissue layers, the penis, vagina, nearby organs, or surrounding muscles. This is also known as locally-advanced primary urethral cancer. This advanced cancer is more likely to spread to other parts of the body (called metastatic disease) and is harder to treat.
This chapter contains general information about primary urethral cancer. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment. Always consult your doctor or healthcare provider for guidance on your individual medical situation.
