Hypogonadism can sometimes develop later in life, especially in men who are overweight or have type 2 diabetes. The signs of hypogonadism will be different depending on your age when it develops.
Common signs in adult men include:
- Tiredness
- Hot flashes
- Low sex drive
- Problems getting and keeping an erection (erectile dysfunction)
- Mood changes
- Difficulty concentrating
- Problems sleeping
- Loss of muscle mass
- Lower bone strength or density
- Enlarged breasts
- Loss of body hair
- Infertility (not being able to have children)
